THE WHITE CHURCH WEDDING SHOW 25/03/12

Thanks to all the couples who came and said hello to me at The White Church, Ansdell on Sunday. The weather was beautiful so I ended up setting up my display and drawing in the entrance hall. Looking forward to receiving lots of bookings!

A big thank you to the staff at Fat Face, Lytham for asking me to draw at their mother and toddler event at the store today. I had a blast with all the mums and kids.

Racked up nearly 6 hours of drawing the merry folk at this medieval wedding dressed as a mere peasant. The beautiful weather meant that I could draw outside for the first time this year.

WEDDING GUEST SIGN-IN BOARD COMMISSION

The clients for this one gave me a very specific brief and provided me with hard copies of thier photos including pictures of thier dog, colour scheme and wedding outfits. The caricature was to include thier Staffy called Busby, the groom holding a pint, a Man United logo, the bride shopping and going to the gym! Luckily the clients approved my very first pencil rough.

KATHRYN HOSKISSON COME DINE WITH ME CARICATURE

This caricature was done last week for a friends wife who was filmed for the Channel 4 cult T.V. programme Come Dine With Me. She was picked, so I believe, for her vanity which she readily admits herself, so I was asked to picture her with a drink and a mirror together with her hour-glass figure.

I've no idea if it will get onto the show but it was fun to do!

I'm pleased to say that Come Dine With Me have asked for permission to use this caricature in the show to be screened later in February. Watch this space!

The Come Dine With Me episode was aired last week featuring Kathryn Hoskisson who caused controversy by placing a paper bag over one of the "uglier" male contestants. My caricature was shown briefly a few times in the background on the wall and does seem to sum up how she was perceived on the show.

I was commissioned to design a wedding invitation that was to include a rugby ball, Blackpool Tower, the Humber bridge and a hamster. Here is the process from pencil to ink to colour.

KARL PILKINGTON CARICATURE - BULLSHIT MAN - AN IDIOT ABROAD

I'm a latecomer to this TV show on Sky 1 but Kark Pilkington is a legend! I decided to draw this first caricature of 2012 after watching the episode where, when asked which superpower he would have, he said that he'd be Bullshit Man and save everyone from all the bullshit in the world. Amen!
