Dieting Cartoons

It's nearly New year and thoughts turn to removing the excess poundage we gained over the year and Festive Period. Here's some of my thoughts on the question of dieting.

Fracking. No Thanks.

In my area of the UK, fracking is a big issue. I'm no expert, but I don't like what I hear about the risks involved versus the benefits. Unfortunately, there is big money involved in producing much needed energy and there will only ever be one winner in the battle between the environment and the corporations circling their pray. The legacy this will leave behind for future generations is unthinkable. I think Constable would have agreed too.

Michael Appleton, Blackpool FC, Caricature

This guy has some big boots to fill after Ian Holloway's reign at Bloomfield Road.

I guess in the future there won't be any boxed DVD gift sets in the Blackpool Football Gift Shop called "The Appleton Years".

Christmas Grouch Cartoon

Thr consumerism of Christmas becomes more and more irritating as you get older. The magic wears off once your kids grow up and the wonder of the season fades as a distant memory. Anyway, if you want to buy some of my stuff for Christmas, don't forget to visit my Red Bubble store. The link if on the right hand side.

Atkins Diet Adam and Eve Cartoon

"The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat are really good friends." - Unknown

Andrew Flintoff Boxing Cartoon

Freddie is a local sporting and drinking legend. I'm looking forward to the final episode of his documentory tonight featuring his first professional boxing fight.

What a great achievement and an inspiration to fat lads everywhere! You are a legend Freddie. I changed the cartoon slightly as I wasn't 100% sure about the wording. I think this is a slight improvement?

Sarah Millican Caricature

She's the best comedian around at the moment and it's refreshing to have a women on top of the pile for a change.

I wish her the best of luck in the British Comedy Awards which are being screened live next Wednesday, 12th December, 2012 on Channel 4. Let's hope she holds onto her crown!
